ترجمان کے مطابق شمالی علاقوں میں شدید بارشوں کے باعث لینڈ سلائیڈنگ اور گلیشیائی جھیلوں کے پھٹنے (گالف ایونٹس) سے سیلاب کا خدشہ ہے۔ متاثرہ علاقوں میں ریشون، بریپ، بونی، سردار گول، ٹھلو، ہنارچی، درکوٹ اور اشکومن شامل ہیں۔
این ڈی ایم اے کے مطابق دریائے سندھ، چناب، جہلم اور کابل میں پانی کے بہاؤ میں نمایاں اضافے کا امکان ہے، جبکہ چناب پر مرالہ، خانکی اور قادرآباد کے مقام پر نچلے سے درمیانے درجے کا سیلاب متوقع ہے۔
جہلم میں منگلا اور کابل میں نوشہرہ کے مقام پر بھی پانی کے بہاؤ میں اضافہ متوقع ہے۔ دریائے سندھ میں تربیلا، کالا باغ، چشمہ، تونسہ اور گڈو بیراج پر پانی کی سطح بڑھنے کا خدشہ ظاہر کیا گیا ہے۔
ترجمان نے مزید بتایا کہ خیبرپختونخوا میں دریائے سوات، پنجکوڑہ اور دیگر ندی نالوں میں طغیانی کا خطرہ ہے جبکہ گلگت بلتستان میں دریائے ہنزہ، شگر اور ندی نالوں میں سیلابی صورتحال پیدا ہو سکتی ہے۔
شمشال، ہوشے، سالتورو اور ملحقہ علاقوں میں اچانک سیلاب (فلیش فلڈ) کا بھی خطرہ ہے۔ بلوچستان کے ژوب، شیرانی، سبی اور موسیٰ خیل کے علاقوں میں بھی ندی نالوں میں طغیانی کا امکان ہے۔
این ڈی ایم اے کے مطابق شاہراہِ قراقرم اور بابوسر ٹاپ دونوں جانب سے لینڈ سلائیڈنگ کے باعث بند ہو چکے ہیں۔ ترجمان نے سیاحوں کو خبردار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ 25 جولائی تک پہاڑی علاقوں کے سفر سے گریز کریں۔
